Inter-varsity football tourney

JALANDHAR: North Zone Inter-University Football Tournament (Men) commenced at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University on Wednesday. In the opening match, Jamia Millia Islamia varsity Delhi, get the best of Lovely Profession University (LPU) 2-0. Sant Baba Bhag Singh University defeated Agricultural University, Palampur,1-0. Guru Kashi Univeristy and DAV University teams qualified for the next round. TNS

CBSE football cluster

Jalandhar: The football team of Manav Sehyog Schools (U-17) kept the spirits high by winning the second runner-up position in CBSE Cluster  Tournament held at Doaba Public School, Parowal.  As many as 64 teams participated in the event.
