New Delhi: Google on Friday dedicated a doodle celebrating wildlife conservationist and television personality Steve Irwin’s life and legacy, whom many grew up watching wrestling giant crocodiles in the Australian wilderness. A zookeeper by profession, Irwin achieved worldwide fame from his television series “The Crocodile Hunter”. He would have been 57 on this day. IANS
Contest to name bullet train, design mascot
New Delhi: Like Air India has a mascot in Maharaja, India’s first bullet train is all set to get a name and its own identity with NHSRCL announcing a nationwide competition to christen the train which will run from Mumbai to Ahmedabad by 2022. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHRCL), which is spearheading the project, has asked for entries, by March 25. PTI
HC restrains Singhania from publishing book
Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has restrained former chairperson of the Raymond Group, Vijaypat Singhania, from publishing his autobiography till March 13. The company has sought an injunction on the ground that some parts of the book might be defamatory. Vijaypat Singhania and his son have been engaged in a legal battle over a duplex apartment in the 36-storey redeveloped JK House in south Mumbai. PTI
