Lahiri ends tied-53rd, will return for Memorial

Fort Worth (Texas): Anirban Lahiri was unable to build on his gains in the previous rounds to finish tied- 53rd at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Lahiri, who is still some way from making his place in the Tour Championships safe, will be back this week for the Memorial Championships hosted by Jack Nicklaus.

Fort Worth (Texas): Anirban Lahiri was unable to build on his gains in the previous rounds to finish tied- 53rd at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Lahiri, who is still some way from making his place in the Tour Championships safe, will be back this week for the Memorial Championships hosted by Jack Nicklaus. Lahiri, who shot 68, 71, 72 and 73 finished at a 4-over 284. Kevin Na, the South Korean-born American birdied four of the first eight holes and shot a 4-under 66 for a four-shot victory over Tony Finau.

Shooters continue to lead Munich World Cup   

India continued to lead the ISSF World Cup medals tally despite none of its shooters making it to the final of men’s 10m air rifle competition. Filip Nepejchal of the Czech Republic won the 10m air rifle gold. Deepak Kumar posted 628.3 in the qualification round, but it was not enough for him to be among the eight finalists, finishing 19th. Teammates Divyansh Singh Panwar and Ravi Kumar shot scores of 627.6 and 621.4 to finish in 31st and 86th positions, respectively. In the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions, N Gaayathri shot 1173 to be placed 11th. — Agencies
