Under-fire cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul gave their statements to BCCI CEO Rahul Johri on Tuesday, initiating the inquiry into their much-condemned comments on women that have split the Committee of Administrators (CoA). “The CEO spoke to them via telephone. His brief was simple as the inquiry initiator. He has to just collate whatever they have written in their reply. He is expected to submit his report to CoA tomorrow,” said a BCCI official.

Manu Sawhney to replace Richardson as new ICC CEO
The International Cricket Council appointed media professional Manu Sawhney as its new chief executive officer, replacing incumbent David Richardson, who will step down after the 2019 World Cup. Sawhney, the former CEO of Singapore Sports Hub and the managing director of ESPN Star Sports, will join next month before formally taking over the reins from Richardson in July.
