Nilekani heads RBI panel to boost digital payments

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India has constituted a committee under Aadhaar architect Nandan Nilekani to suggest measures to strengthen the safety and security of digital payments.

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India has constituted a committee under Aadhaar architect Nandan Nilekani to suggest measures to strengthen the safety and security of digital payments. It shall submit its report within 90 days of its first meeting. Other members include former RBI Deputy Governor HR Khan, ex-MD of Vijaya Bank Kishore Sansi and former IT secretary Aruna Sharma. PTI

Rakesh Roshan undergoes throat cancer surgery

Mumbai: Filmmaker-actor Rakesh Roshan, 69, underwent surgery after being diagnosed with “early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat”, his son, actor Hrithik Roshan, said. Roshan’s daughter Sunaina was diagnosed with cervical cancer a few years ago but emerged a survivor. PTI
