Jammu: Anisha Safaya, who was born in Jammu and Kashmir, has won the “Mrs Aesthetic” title at the Mrs Universe 2018 event organised in Cebu, Philippines. She secured a place for India in the top 25 contestants. Models from 88 countries took part in the event. Safaya is also one of the youngest women vice-presidents in an investment bank in London. TNS
Teacher injured in bear attack
Rajouri: A teacher was injured in a bear attack in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district on Monday. Police sources said 30-year-old Mohd Naseer of Dhargloon was on his way to school at Chui Mankote when he was attacked by a bear. He received injuries on his face. He raised the alarm following which people reached the spot and the bear ran into the forest. OC

Azad concerned over civilian killings
Jammu: Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad has expressed concern over recent civilian killing in Pulwama during an encounter between security forces and militants.
