Edu-set room of school burgled

Phagwara: The edu-set room of the government senior secondary School at the old Post Office road here was reportedly burgled on Monday morning. The burglars entered the room after cutting grills of the back side windows of the room and took away one LED, two batteries, a UPS along with other valuable goods. The police have registered a case in this regard. OC

One held for drug peddling 

Phagwara: The Satnampura police have arrested a person, identified as Deepak, a resident of Khalwara Gate locality, on the charges of drug peddling. Around 10 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession on Sunday night. Superintendent of Police Mandeep Singh said the accused was nabbed at a check point near Ekta Resorts on the Phagwara-Nakodar road. A case has been registered against him in this regard. OC
