AMRITSAR: Dharam Singh, former head of Punjabi School of Education at the GNDU, has been felicitated by the state government for his contribution to Punjabi language. Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal bestowed him with the honour during the Independence Day function. During his 34-year long career in the univeristy, he mentored 14 PhD and 50 MPhil students. Amritsar: A special investiture ceremony was held at Shri Ram Ashram Public School, in which a student council for 2018-19 was formed, on Monday. The ceremony commenced with Ganesh Vandana. Pranay Kapoor was chosen as head boy, Lakshita as head girl, Shubham Jain, vice head boy, Kritika Sharma, vice head girl. The names of the members of school student council were formally announced and adorned with sashes and badges by Principal Vinodita Sankhyan. TNS
DAV students shine in exams
Amritsar: Students of DAV College, Amritsar, bagged various merit positions in the university examinations held in May, 2018. In the recently-declared results of BSc (CS)-II, Sharanjit Kaur stood first in the university.
