Book released

Chandigarh: A book titled ‘A Woman’s Guide to deal with PCOS Polycystic Ovary Syndrome’, authored by Ishwarpreet Kaur, PhD scholar, Community Medicine, Dr Vanita Suri, professor and head, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Dr Amarjeet Singh, professor, Community Medicine, PGI, was released on Tuesday.

Polycystic ovary syndrome or polycystic ovary disease (PCOS / PCOD) has become one of the most common gynaecological and endocrine problems reported among girls. Women have little knowledge about the condition and treatment. Major problems faced by them are irregular menstrual cycle, acne, facial hair growth, etc. The book is an outcome of research conducted by the authors on PCOS / PCOD.
