BMW gives car parts for study purposes to GKU students

BATHINDA: Renowned automobile company BMW has provided car parts to students of Guru Kashi University.

Renowned automobile company BMW has provided car parts to students of Guru Kashi University. The parts are provided to help students of University College of Guru Gobind Singh Engineering and Technology at GKU in their research work.

Buta Singh, assistant professor, mechanical department of the college, said, “Under its ‘Skill Next’ programme, the luxury carmaker giant has selected mechanical colleges in the northern region of the country to provide them free-of-cost car parts for practical knowledge purposes. The move would enable students to get acquainted with the latest advancements in the automobile industry.”

Buta Singh said, “Engine and gear box of cars have been provided to the college. We will make students abreast of the technology and functionality of these parts. Later, a faculty member from the college would be trained who shall further impart training to students.”
