The BJP observed Samarpan Diwas on Monday and donations ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 1,000 were made for the party, using the Modi App.

The top brass of the BJP, including Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, his Cabinet colleagues, MLAs and party office-bearers made donations. State BJP president Satpal Singh Satti said the day was being observed as a mark of respect to Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay, who taught everyone to place national interest above the party and self.

Satti said Samarpan Diwas had been observed all over the state right up to the booth level. “Party workers have made donations using the Modi App to show that they were dedicated in the service of the nation,” he remarked.
