BJP National vice-president and J&K incharge Avinash Rai Khanna and Member of Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas on Monday donated blood along with 20 other senior leaders of the party at Lal Ded Hospital, Srinagar.
Khanna said, “We are living in a civilised society and have bonds of love and affection with others. When we donate blood to someone, it further strengthens the fabric of brotherhood, oneness and reflects concern towards the pain of others”.
He said donating blood was a noble cause as it could save precious lives and hence everyone should come forward to help the needy by donating blood.
“Feeling the joy of saving a human life in itself is a great satisfaction,” Khanna said and added that neither blood donor nor the blood injected into someone’s body differentiated on the basic of his or her faith, but gives them a new life.
Manhas said the weeklong programmes in connection with the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi carried significance and directly linked to the service of the nation and mankind.
