Lucknow, November 21

Amid uproar by a section of BHU students over the appointment of a Muslim Sanskrit teacher, some BJP leaders have come out in defence of besieged assistant professor Dr Firoz Khan.

UP Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma, recalling that he himself learnt Sanskrit from a teacher named Waliullaah Khan, said subjects and teachers did not have religion. BJP MP Paresh Rawal tweeted: “What has language got to do with religion?... stop this idiocy.”— TNS
