Former Chief Minister and INLD president OP Chautala has said the BJP has failed to fulfil its promises and should quit on moral grounds.

He has also accused the previous Congress government of hatching a conspiracy to send him behind bars.

Addressing party workers in Ambala City last night, he said: “The Congress hatched a conspiracy and sent me behind bars. It claimed that the INLD has no future but workers of the INLD have kept the party alive.”

“There is resentment among all sections of society due to the poor governance of the current government. People are looking for a change. The government has failed to fulfil its promises and also failed to provide basic amenities to the people. It should quit on moral grounds,” he added.

Chautala said: “I am in jail for giving jobs to 3,206 youth and I promise that the INLD will give jobs to every educated youth as per his ability irrespective of their political leanings if voted to power.”

Speaking to mediapersons, he said: “Circumstances keep changing in politics, and breaking and forming new alliances is a normal thing.”
