Bank officials'' protest on Feb 4

At a state-level meeting of members of the All-India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC), Haryana, bank officials raised the problems being faced by them.

They opposed the proposed merger of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank with the Bank of Baroda and demanded a respectable wage settlement based on the charter of demands. They also decided to hold a 'maha morcha' on February 4 in New Delhi to press for their demands.

Deepak Kumar Sharma, joint general secretary, AIBOC, urged the members to join the march to New Delhi on February 4 against anti-bank employee policies of the government.
