Balraj, Gursimran guide St Joseph’s to victory

CHANDIGARH:Balraj Singh and Gursimran Singh stitched an unbeaten 118-run opening wicket partnership to help St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School register a 10-wicket win over Learning Paths School, Mohali, in the ongoing U-14 Super League Cricket Tournament here on Saturday.

Balraj Singh and Gursimran Singh stitched an unbeaten 118-run opening wicket partnership to help St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School register a 10-wicket win over Learning Paths School, Mohali, in the ongoing U-14 Super League Cricket Tournament here on Saturday.

Chasing 118 runs for victory, Balraj made 56 runs off 40 balls, while Gursimran hit a 52-ball 45 to see their side home in just 16.3 overs.

Earlier, Learning Paths School were all out for 117 runs in 23.1 overs. Ranvijay Singh Thakur (2/21), Parmish Verma (2/19) and Dishu Rana Pratap Singh (2/18) claimed two wickets each for St Joseph’s. Yanish (42) was the top scorer for Lesrning Paths. Parth added 13 runs to the total.
