Bad weather disrupts air traffic schedule

Bad weather in the region hit the air traffic at Shri Guru Ramdas Jee International Airport here on Thursday. An Indigo flight from Qatar was diverted to New Delhi. The arrival time of the flight was 2.45 pm. After a halt in New Delhi, it reached Amritsar at around 7.30 pm. A domestic flight for Srinagar was cancelled due to fresh snowfall in Kashmir. A high drama was witnessed at the airport as passengers had an argument with the airline staff as they asked them to arrange for their stay and return the money. MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla intervened and pacified the passengers. According to information, 13 international and local flights witnessed a delay due to weather.
