On the last leg of his four-day Kashmir visit after the Supreme Court nod, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday visited Baramulla and interacted with locals to have a firsthand assessment of the situation post abrogation of the Article 370.

During his day-long visit to Baramulla district headquarters of North Kashmir, Azad met a number of common people, including local vendors, labourers and daily wagers, for the firsthand information on the ground-level situation. There was no meeting with party workers, as per the directions of the Supreme Court, party sources said.

The Congress leader met common people in Srinagar and Anantnag district during the past two days, after his arrival here on Friday. He would be leaving for Jammu from here tomorrow, according to the party sources. — TNS
