A mass awareness camp was organised at Phulokhari village for creating awareness of women empowerment programmes to remove poverty from rural areas of Bathinda.

The camp was organised by Hand in Hand India in collaboration with the Punjab State Rural Livelihood Mission, Bathinda, and HMEL, Bathinda. The organisers were Stalinjit Singh (District Program Manager, National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Bathinda, Anjesh Pratap Singh (EDC, HIH India, Raman Mandi), Gurpreet Singh, Sukhwant Singh, Veerpal Kaur, Ramandeep Kaur (team members of HIH India Raman Mandi) and CSR team of HMEL, Bathinda.

The camp was organised for the pre-launch of NRLM Scheme in Talwandi Saboo block for the financial year of 2019-2020 as well as for creation of mass awareness of financial inclusion initiatives of banks and government, especially for women.

Those who attended the programme were apprised of the National Rural Livelihood Mission, Financial Inclusion, Bank Finances, Insurance Schemes, Post Office Schemes provided to women of Phoolokhari and nearby villages by employees of Hand in Hand India along with the team of PSRLM, Bathinda. Around 325 women attended the camp. Sarpanch Harjinder Singh and other panchayat members were also present.
