Amritsar, April 21

A meeting of Congress leaders and Municipal Corporation councillors was organised in which they were assigned campaign duties on Sunday. The meeting was attended by Congress candidate for Lok Sabha seat Gurjeet Singh Aujla and Cabinet Minister Om Parkash Soni.

Aujla said, “The BJP government at the Centre has weakened the Constitutional bodies in the country to promote its agenda. Incidents of attacks on minorities have increased in five years.”

Aujla said the BJP government had failed in fulfilling its election promises “that is why people would not believe its false claims” this time. “The Prime Minister is even telling lies even on the issue of national security,” he added. The meeting was also attended by Congress leaders Jugal Kishore, Jatinder Sonia, Deputy Mayor Younis Kumar, Vikas Soni and others. — TNS
