Authors have been asked to submit their books for Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi (CSA) awards. Akademi chairman Madhav Kaushik disclosed that authors could send printed books in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and English in the genres of poetry, novel, short story, drama, children’s literature and translation, published in 2018, for consideration.Three copies of each book should be sent to the office of Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi, Rani Laxmi Bai Mahila Bhawan, Sector 38-C, Chandigarh, by January 31.
Edited books and those published with financial help from the CSA will not be considered. The author with the best book in each genre will be awarded a citation, shawl and a cash prize of Rs 25,000 during a function in March.
