NEW DELHI: The INLD suffered a major blow on Sunday with several senior party leaders joining the Congress.

The INLD suffered a major blow on Sunday with several senior party leaders joining the Congress. Former INLD state chief Ashok Arora led the group which joined the Congress in the presence of AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad, state chief Kumari Selja and CLP leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Independent MLA from Kalayat Jai Prakash also joined the Congress. A three-time MP, he had served as Cabinet minister in Chandra Shekhar government. Former minister and INLD strongman Subhash Goyal and former MLA Pradeep Choudhry also joined the Congress. Gaganjot Singh, son of late INLD veteran Jaswinder Singh, who was minister in Haryana, joined the Congress as well. — TNS
