AMRITSAR: Joining the rest of the country, the Panther Division of the Army celebrated 5th International Yoga Day at Panther Stadium of Old Amritsar Cantonment.

Joining the rest of the country, the Panther Division of the Army celebrated 5th International Yoga Day at Panther Stadium of Old Amritsar Cantonment. The yoga session was attended by approx 1,000 attendees, including Army personnel and their families. Major General KS Brar, General Officer Commanding, Panther Division, lead the camp along with doctor Naveen Kumar Arya, a yoga practitioner and trainer.

The BSF Khasa Cantonment also observed the day with the personnel and their families performing asanas. Various yoga ‘asans’ including Suray Namaskar, Pranayam, Dhyanmudra during this 40 minutes session were performed. The Panther division also conducted yoga quiz, poster/slogan making and other competitions for school children as part of International Yoga Day celebration. Over 1,200 cadets of 1 Punjab Battalion NCC, Amritsar, also participated in Yoga Day celebrations, by organising yoga camps at three different venues, including Khalsa College. — TNS
