Ambala to get 5 new police stations

The Haryana Government has decided to set up five new police stations by upgrading existing police posts in Ambala Range for strengthening the law and order and effectively dealing with crime in the state.

DGP Manoj Yadava said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had approved a proposal of Home Department for upgrading five police posts to police stations in Ambala Range.

He said the government had also approved 331 posts for the new police stations on which an annual expenditure of over Rs 14.48 crore would be incurred. Each police station would have five posts of Inspectors, 12 Sub-Inspectors, 24 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 54 Head Constables, 216 Constables and Class IV staff. The DGP said the move would help in further strengthening the law and order in view of the increase in population and rapid urbanisation.
