Akali leader, supporters join SAD (Taksali)

Fazilka, January 21

The SAD (Taksali) president and MP, Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, senior vice-president Dr Rattan Singh Ajnala and general secretary Sewa Singh Sekhwan inducted former general council member of the SAD and former general secretary of the Muktsar district unit of the SAD Gurjinder Singh Grewal and his supporters to the party on Monday evening.

Grewal said he was in the third generation of the family who served the SAD to the best of their ability but had now decided to leave the party following wrong policies of the Badals.

Brahmpura and Sekhwan said the party could form an alliance with like-minded parties, who opposed the policies of the SAD-BJP and Congress, in the coming Lok Sabha elections. — OC
