The admission process for pre-primary classes in government schools will begin on Tuesday. The state Education Department has asked the schools with pre-primary wing to create awareness regarding the admissions of students. The schools, along with anganwadi workers, will be reaching out to masses regarding the admission process.

The schools will be making special announcements during morning assemblies to apprise students of the admissions to pre-primary wings.

The team of ‘Padho Punjab, Padhao Punjab’ has been asked to work in this regard. “We have been creating awareness regarding the drive,” said a spokesman of the Education Department. A total of 13,274 kids were enrolled last year. Kids above three years of age were enrolled in nursery, LKG and UKG classes.
