Amritsar, February 13

The committee constituted following the dissent over the winding up of the six-month Bargari Morcha today announced to hold a protest against the government if their demands are not met.

It served an ultimatum to the government till February 15 to initiate legal action against the culprits of 2015 sacrilege cases and take up the release of Sikh detainees and shift them to Punjab jails.

Prof Baljinder Singh and Bhai Narain Singh Chaura, members of the committee, said if the government failed to respond by the designated date, they would start dharnas outside jails across the state.
