ACB to get six police stations

JAMMU: The state administration on Monday accorded sanction to the establishment of six police stations in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) along with creation of staff for them.

The state administration on Monday accorded sanction to the establishment of six police stations in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) along with creation of staff for them.

The police stations will be set up in Anantnag, Doda, Baramulla, Rajouri, Udhampur and the central office of the ACB. It followed the decision of the State Administrative Council taken on January 14.

As per the government order, the police stations will be established in a phased manner from 2018-19 to 2020-21.

The police station in Anantnag will be set up in 2018-19, while the Baramulla and Rajouri police stations will come up in 2019-20. The two police stations in Rajouri and the ACB central office will be established in 2020-21.

The state also ordered renaming of the police station, Vigilance Organisation, Jammu, and the police station, Vigilance Organisation, Kashmir, as the police station, ACB, Jammu, and the police station, ACB, Srinagar, respectively.

Meanwhile, the government also ordered the creation of 398 posts of various categories in a phased manner in three financial years. — TNS
