Activists of the Una college unit of the Akhil Bharat Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Monday submitted a memorandum to college Principal Dr Trilok Chand, regarding the shabby state of affairs at the students’ hostel.

ABVP unit head Vinay Sharma complained that the doors and windowpanes of the hostel were broken, the electrical wiring had gone loose and there was no provision of lifting garbage from the hostel. He said in the absence of a sanitation worker, students took turns to clean the toilets.

Vinay Sharma said the hostel inmates had been demanding mess facilities and installation of streetlights on the road connecting the hostel with the college. The Principal assured that the matter would be taken up at an appropriate forum.
