The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) opposed the appointment of Kamal Nath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Baljinder Kaur, women wing’s president of the AAP, on Sunday said the appointment of Kamal Nath as the Chief Minister of MP was totally unacceptable.
Taking with mediapersons here, she said, “His role in the 1984 Sikh massacre is not hidden from anyone. 1984 can never be forgotten by the Punjabis and Kamal Nath’s appointment by the Congress won’t be forgiven by the Sikhs. Giving such kind of an important post is totally unacceptable. With such policies, how can we expect law and order to prevail and corruption will be rooted out under such a government.”
Talking about important files on the 1984 Sikh riots, which went missing in Delhi, the AAP blamed it on the LG. She said, “As long as Delhi is under LG’s control, such incidents will happen. Interference by the Centre and the LG has made things difficult. We are waiting for a day when the government will be free and totally under the control of AAP.”
