78 schools participate in ‘Dhanak’

In a mega inter-school cultural-cum-tech event, Dhanak 2019, as many as 4,267 students from 78 schools across the city participated at CT University. The event was inaugurated by Chancellor of the university Charanjit S Channi, managing director Manbir Singh, vice-chairman Harpreet Singh, Vice-Chancellor Harsh Sadawarti, actress Sonam Bajwa and singer Ninja.

A total of 16 events were conducted in the fiesta. Project displays by various schools of the university was the highlight of the event. The Research and Incubation Centre for Excellence displayed their projects such as the 3-D printer, artificial hand and tornado while the School of Design displayed paintings, wall arts and dresses.

The first prize in cartooning was won by Jatindra from Greenfield School with a cash prize of Rs 5,000. The second prize was won by Tagore Public School with Rs 3,000. In the quiz contest, BCM Arya Model School and DCM Presidency School were declared first and second, respectively. The face-painting competition was won by Atam Devki Niketan School, followed by SBRS Gurukul. The first and second prize in rangoli making was won by ADN Senior School and Mount Litera Zee School, respectively.
