7 killed, 12 injured in road accident in Bihar’s Siwan

PATNA: Seven persons were killed and 12 others injured when a crowded van collided with a speeding truck in Bihar’s Siwan district on Sunday.

Seven persons were killed and 12 others injured when a crowded van collided with a speeding truck in Bihar’s Siwan district on Sunday.

The injured were rushed to Siwan Sadar Hospital, while the critically injured were reffered to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).

The accident occurred at Nizampur village of the district when the pick-up van collided with the speeding truck, killing seven persons on the spot. The bodies were sent for post-mortem to Siwan Sadar Hospital.

Mritunjay Kumar, a survivor, said they were returning after attending a ‘tilak samaroh’ function when their van met with the accident.
