62-year-old woman dies of swine flu

SANGRUR: A 62-year-old woman from Sangatpura village of Sangrur district died of swine flu at the Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.

A 62-year-old woman from Sangatpura village of Sangrur district died  of swine flu at the Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. “Pritam Kaur had been under treatment since January 15. However, the swine flu patient died today. We got her cremated as per Health Department guidelines,” said Dr Arun Gupta, Civil Surgeon (CS), Sangrur. 

He said they found eight persons who were in her contact. “We have given medicines to all eight persons and so far, they do not have any health problem. We are keeping a watch over them,” he said.
