6,325 from 189 schools take part in ‘Sabyatech’

JALANDHAR: In a mega inter-school cultural-cum-tech event, ‘Sabyatech 2019’, organised by the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus, 6,325 students from 189 schools of the state, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir participated.

In a mega inter-school cultural-cum-tech event, ‘Sabyatech 2019’, organised by the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus, 6,325 students from 189 schools of the state, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir participated.

The event was inaugurated by CT Group chairman Charanjit S Channi, managing director Manbir Singh, vice-chairman Harpreet Singh, dean (academics) Dr Anupam Deep and campus director Dr GS Kalra along with Additional Director Amandeep Aujla. The chief guest for the closing ceremony was PPS Diljinder Dhillon, SSP (Vigilance Bureau).

Students from Cambridge Overseas School, Dayanand Model Senior Secondary School, AI International School, GTB International School, Manav Sehyog School, Holy Heart Junior School, MGN Public School, Police DAV Public School, Chanakaya International School, Government Girls Senior Secondary School and other institutions were present.

As many as 33 events took place that include solo singing, solo dance, group singing, group dance, painting, cartooning, poster-making, collage-making, rangoli, mehndi, elocution, quiz, skit, mimicry, fashion walk, mime and tech events such as basic circuit designing, robo war, LAN gaming, web page designing, project display, code designing and digital poster designing.

The overall trophy was lifted by GMA City Public School, Singriwa, with cash prize of Rs 51,000 whereas the second prize of Rs 31,000 was won by GMA City Public School, Chabbewal, and the third prize of Rs 21,000 was won by Dayanand Model Senior Secondary School.

The event was organised by Department of Admissions, headed by Additional Director Amandeep Aujla along with his team. Speaking about the motive behind the event, he said: “Well, this is one of the mega events of the CT Group in which a good number of participation has been observed and our key objective was to give a wonderful platform to the budding talent to showcase their talent in various fields both culturally and technically.”
