5 killed in UP bus accident

LUCKNOW:Five passengers, including three children, were killed on the spot and around 40 injured when a Madhubani (Bihar)-bound Volvo bus (from Gurugram) overturned on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway at Unnao this morning.

Five passengers, including three children, were killed on the spot and around 40 injured when a Madhubani (Bihar)-bound Volvo bus (from Gurugram) overturned on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway at Unnao this morning.

The accident occurred while the bus driver was trying to overtake a tractor near Jasrapur village. The injured were rushed to the Bangarmau Community Health Centre from where 23 were referred to the Unnao District Hospital. The seven seriously injured were then referred to the Trauma Centre of Lucknow’s King George Medical University Hospital. — TNS
