4 suspects held in murder case

The Ambala police have arrested four suspects in connection with Vivek murder case. Vivek Rana belonged to Sambli village of Uttar Pradesh.

The suspects have been identified as Amar Singh, Gautam, Sachin and Shakti, residents of Thambar village. The suspects were produced before a court, which sent them to four-day police remand.

A case was registered on May 17 last year at the Barara police station on the complaint of Abhishek, a resident of Ratanpura, Yamunanagar.

In his complaint, Abhishek had alleged that Shamsher Singh, Amar Singh and Gautam, residents of Thambar village, had kidnapped Vivek from Triveni Chowk near Barara on May 16 and killed him. His bullet-riddled body was recovered from Samgoli village under the Dera Bassi police station on May 17.

Shamsher had already been arrested in this case.

Vivek was also involved in criminal activities.
