Ludhiana, February 3

As many as 33 women cricketers were selected during the trials conducted by the Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA), an affiliated body of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), here at GRD Academy, Hambran Road, on Sunday.

A two-member selection panel comprising former IPL star Luv Abhlish and cricket coach Anuradha Sharma observed the aspirants during the selection process before finalising the players.

These players will be enrolled with the regional coaching centre run by the LDCA at the same venue, said Vinod Chitkara, honorary general secretary of the association.

The Ludhiana teams will be shortlisted from these players to take part in different age groups in the upcoming inter-district cricket tournaments, he said.

They have been advised to report to Anuradha Sharma at GRD Academy on February 5 at 4 pm.
