3 more arrested in double-murder case

Three more criminals have been arrested following leads gathered during the interrogation of gangster Vicky Samual who was arrested recently in a double-murder case that took place in October last year.

The police have also recovered the weapon used in the crime. Baljit Singh, SP (Detective), said they had arrested Vicky’s accomplice Jacob along with a .12 bore single barrel gun and his two friends, Balwinder Singh alias Gola and Inderjit Singh.

The SP said though Balwinder and Inderjit were not involved in the double-murder, they were in possession of the weapon used in the crime.

The police have also confiscated a Maruti car with fake number plate from their possession.

Vicky had posted a live video about his revenge killing on social media after the gruesome murder of two youths belonging to his rival Jagsir Singh Jagga’s group on October 6 last year. The victims were identified as Harjinder Singh alias Mikka (25) and Sonu Gill (24). —OC
