In a hit-and-run case, three persons, including a girl, riding an Activa scooter were injured after their two-wheeler was hit by a speeding bus that jumped the red light at the Railway light point here this morning.

The complainant, Harsh Kumar, who is an auto driver and was going to drop school students, reported that an Activa scooter was crossing the Railway light point when a speeding bus coming from the Transport light point side hit the two-wheeler. The bus driver sped from the spot after the accident.

The complainant managed to note down the number of the bus. All three injured persons were rushed to a hospital. The police were informed about the incident.

A case was registered. Later, the bus driver identified as Nirmal Singh (47), a resident of Kharar, was arrested and released on bail.
