Three persons of a family have been booked on the charge of demanding dowry. Rajwinder Kaur, a resident of Paras Ram Nagar, has filed a complaint in this regard. She has stated that she was married to Rahul Kumar, a resident of Awa Basti. Her husband, along with his parents Tara Chand and Sona Devi, was harassing her and demanding more dowry, she alleged. Investigation officer SI Sampuran Singh said a case had been registered under Sections 498-A and 406 of the IPC on the statement of Rajwinder and a probe into the case had been started. However, no arrests have been made in the case so far.
