24 live bullets found in agriculture fields

AMRITSAR: A farmer found 24 live bullets which were hidden in his fields at Thothian village. Harinder Singh, a resident of Thothian village, said some stray dogs had scattered the husk and dug up the earth where he found the bullets.

A farmer found 24 live bullets which were hidden in his fields at Thothian village. 

Harinder Singh, a resident of Thothian village, said some stray dogs had scattered the husk and dug up the earth where he found the bullets. 

He immediately informed the police which took the same into their custody. 

Senior Superintendent  of  Police(SSP), Amritsar (Rural), Parampal Singh, said the 7.62 mm bullets were very old. He said investigations were under way. 

A case under Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act has been registered.
