Christmas fervour in schools

Christmas celebrations began with a Jingle Bell presented by the kindergarten students of Atam Devki Niketan School. Students celebrated this day by singing carols and performed dance items. Principal Mridhu Ablash wished everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New year. Students were given gifts and sweets by Santa Claus and the program ended with the song Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

Ram Lal Bhasin School

Students of Classes I to III were taken to the ‘Holy Cross Catholic Chruch’, Sarabha Nagar. X-Mas trees, bells and Santa adorned the campus. The terrace was covered with artificial snow and was so beautifully managed that it was depicting the tale of Jesus Christ’s life. It included the pictures, models and a sledge along with a big Santa sitting on it. All kids of primary classes were given sweets and gifts. Christmas carols were echoing and all the students and teachers greeted each other by wishing ‘Merry Christmas’.

Cherubs PreSchool

School wore a festive look decorated with Christmas tree, bells, stars and snowman. Students decorated tree with balloons, cherries and bells. Song and dance performances on “Jesus born today”, “Bells are ringing” and “We wish you merry Christmas” showcased the spirit of the festival. Christmas carols were also sung by students. A hut was also made depicting the scene of Jesus Christ’s birth.

Childhood Kindergarten Playway

Teachers told students about Jesus Christ and Mother Mary. Kids dressed up as Santa Claus and danced to the tunes of ‘Jingle Bells’ with balloons in their hands. Children also celebrated the New Year in advance and exchanged gifts. Santa gave them gifts. Children enjoyed a lot with the beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The girls came wearing beautiful gowns dressed up as fairies with beautiful wings and magic wands.

Olive Kid Playschool

Olive Kid celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and fanfare. School was tastefully decorated giving a feeling of Christmas celebration with the happy sound of pealing bells, lights sparkling everywhere and hymns of joy and peace. Along with this, a decorated hut was also made depicting birth of Lord Christ. Kids came in fancy dresses and performed a dance to the tunes of Jingle Bells and also sang Christmas carols.

Shifaly International School

Children took part in various programmes and were attired in Santa Claus dresses and distributed sweets to children. Principal Rosy Jain blessed them for their bright future. Children also sang a song for their bright future .

Saraswati Modern School

Christmas was celebrated with fervuor and gaiety at Saraswati Modern Senior Secondary School. The campus was adorned with balloons and bells in sync with festive spirit. A decorated Christmas tree was centre of attraction for all. Students sang beautiful song in praise of the Lord. A skit on life of Jesus Christ motivated students to tread the path of humanity. Students of primary wing presented dances and kept the audience spell bound.

Green Land Convent

At Green Land Convent School, class rooms were decorated with happy bells, lights sparkling everywhere and hymns of joy and peace resonating all around. The students of the school enjoyed themselves by participating in balloon bursting, blowing candles and many more games. Students vowed to spread the message of world peace and brotherhood.

Ryan International School

The celebrations started with reading of Bible followed by a prayer and worship songs. Birth of the Saviour was showcased through a play and Carol. A special talk show to highlight significance of Christmas symbols and various other colourful performance filled the air with jubilation and added colour to the fiesta. Students participated in a fancy dress competition.

Babies Paradise Playway

Babies Paradise Playway School, Dugri, celebrated Christmas today. Santa Claus distributed toffees and gifts to the kids. The school was decorated with red and white balloons. A play was staged by kids to depict the birth of Jesus Christ. All the angles came and gave wishes to born baby.

Laboratory Nursery School

Students of Laboratory Nursery School and Day Care Centre of Punjab Agriculture University celebrated Christmas. Santa Claus brought cheer to students. He distributed sweets to the kids. — TNS
