Students enthral audience on annual day

DORAHA: Doraha Public School celebrated its 7th Annual Day and Prize Distribution Day with scintillating performances by the students before a packed audience.

Doraha Public School celebrated its 7th Annual Day and Prize Distribution Day with scintillating performances by the students before a packed audience.

Students trained by teachers performed Aashayen-a dance, Mobile world- a mime, western dance 5-6-7-8, Nukkad natak- Sab Chalta Hai, bhangra and a Rajasthani dance among other items.

Dr Devinderjit Singh, former joint director, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur, was the chief guest. He exhorted students and participants to get involved more in extracurricular activities so for their overall personality development.

“The participation in such activities goes a long way in nurturing the personality of the students and making them responsible not only to themselves but to the society and the nation at large,” he added.

Dr Kushwinder Kumar, Principal, MM Modi College, Patiala, was the guest of honour. Sukhpal Singh, Chairman, Doraha Group of Institutes, welcomed the guests. The function was graced by Umal Kaur, Chairperson of DOPS, Tapvir Singh, Japvir Singh and Karamvir Singh, directors of the institutes.

Principal Sangeeta Bedi presented the annual report of the school highlighting its success, achievements and growth. Meritorious students in academics, sports and games were awarded for their achievements.
