Temple to get uninterrupted power supply

The management committee of Durgiana Temple has decided to lay cable for uninterrupted power supply to the shrine. Shri Durgiana Committee, which manages the temple, submitted Rs 1 lakh as advance payment to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for installation of the power line. The total cost to be incurred on laying the electricity cable is Rs 6.50 lakh.

The proposal was discussed during quarterly meeting of the committee, said its general secretary Ramesh Sharma. He said many electric meters were already installed on the premises of the temple. Now, there would be main dedicated electricity line with more load carrying capacity to ensure uninterrupted power supply, he added.
