Medical Superintendent caught red-handed

The Vigilance Organisation Jammu (VOJ) today caught the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Kathua, demanding and accepting bribe from a person for the release of pending payments against medical supplies.

According to a VOJ spokesperson, the special surveillance squad of the organisation caught the Medical Superintendent when he was demanding and accepting Rs 20,000 as illegal gratification from a complainant identified as Sunil Sharma for the release of pending payments against medical supplies to the hospital.

A case has been registered in this regard and investigation was in progress, the spokesperson said. — TNS
