Alia refuses to Rock

It had been earlier reported that Alia Bhatt would star in the sequel of Rock On and would also croon her own songs. Indeed, the makers wanted Alia to be a part of this project because they needed an actress who could sing her own songs. However, it has now been learned that Alia has backed out of the project!

Sources says Alia will start shooting for Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab in February and thus she has informed the makers of Rock On sequel that she won't be able to accommodate them. Following this, the makers have started looking for a new girl to play the role.

Udta Punjab, which also stars Shahid Kapoor, revolves around the rampant drug use in North India.
