With two more persons testing positive for the swine flu the number of patients suffering from the disease has gone up to six this year. Recently, a woman from Jammu and Kashmir admitted to a local hospital died due to swine flu.
Time and again, the Health Department has been asking people to take precautionary measures against swine flu and avoid contact with the people, who have cough or flu.
Civil Surgeon, Dr Parvinder Pal Singh Sidhu, said, “Swine flu is a droplet infection and can spread from one person to another. Those having flu should avoid going to crowded places.”
“One should always cover mouth and nose while sneezing. Always wash hands after coming from outside. One should avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth too often as this can lead to contracting the disease,” said a medicine expert.
