2 more held for murder of Cong leader

FARIDABAD: The police today arrested two more accused in connection with the murder of Congress spokesperson Vikas Chaudhary, who was gunned down on June 27 here.

The police today arrested two more accused in connection with the murder of Congress spokesperson Vikas Chaudhary, who was gunned down on June 27 here. With this, the number of arrests have gone up to four. The police had arrested a woman and her domestic help on June 29.

Sube Singh, police department spokesperson, said the accused arrested today had been identified as Manjesh and Harinder, both residents of Gurugram. He said while Manjesh had provided the weapons used in the murder, Harinder was involved in the planning of the crime. Harinder is the brother of Vikas, alias Malle, who was involved in the firing that killed the Congress spokesperson, it is revealed. Both of them were nabbed in Gurugram.

The police had earlier arrested Roshni, wife of gangster Kaushal, and their domestic help Naresh on Saturday last. Kaushal is wanted in several cases of extortion and murder and carries a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his arrest. The two accused nabbed today will be produced in court tomorrow.
