2 city college students to take part in R-Day parade

BATHINDA: It is a matter of great pride for the Baba Farid Group of Institutions that two students of Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology have been selected for the Republic Day parade to be held in New Delhi.

It is a matter of great pride for the Baba Farid Group of Institutions that two students of Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology have been selected for the Republic Day parade to be held in New Delhi. These two students are cadets of 20 Battalion of NCC, Bathinda.

During the selection process from unit level to Directorate (NCC) level, Amar Singh, a student of BTech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) 2nd year and Chandan Singh, a student of BTech (Civil Engineering) 2nd year from BFCET, have been selected to be part of this national event. Owing to their sincere efforts and hard work they got an opportunity to do march at Rajpath on January 26. Now these cadets will participate in the march past to be held on Republic Day at Rajpath, New Delhi.

It is the first time in the history of Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology that NCC students of this college are selected for this parade. It is mentioning here that earlier three students of BFCET had become part of this national event by participating in this parade under the National Service Scheme.

These selected both students thanked management of Baba Farid Group of Institutions, principal and fculty of Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology, especially Associate NCC Officer (ANO), and officials of 20 Battalion NCC, Bathinda for this major achievement.

Dr Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, Baba Farid Group of Institutions, expressed happiness over this important achievement and congratulated these NCC cadets of Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology.
