Two Chinese engineers were among three killed in a boiler explosion at Puslin Biotech, a private factory, in Roz-ka-Meo late this evening.
The blast occurred as senior engineer Jin Jin and production engineer Zangyang were supervising work by local employee Vicky while he was welding the boiler. The three died on the spot.
Five fire tenders took an hour to put down the flames. Vicky hailed from Dhaula village. His family has approached the police, seeking action against factory owners for negligence.
“Workers have told us that the boiler exploded the moment Vicky touched it. This is sheer negligence on the part of the management,” said Vicky’s uncle. “We have received a complaint and will proceed as per the law,” said SP Sangeeta Kalia.
